Taŋrıdaş
Taŋrıdaş is a poetic balance of earthly elements and celestial refinement, drawing its name from the ancient Göktürk term meaning "companion to the divine." This living space is where the rugged essence of nature meets the precision of modern design, an architectural tribute to the interplay between stone, fire, and air.
A monolithic black stone wall, textured with raw geological patterns, forms the space’s backdrop, grounding the room with a sense of permanence and primal energy. Floating black shelves, nearly invisible, punctuate this dark expanse, displaying a minimalist curation of sculptural objects and literature, reinforcing the philosophy of mindful living.
The seating arrangement is a study in symmetry and contrast—two low-profile cream chaise lounges face each other, their structured yet inviting form softened by earth-toned textiles, taupe throws, and amber-accented cushions. Flanking them, a pair of storm-gray lounge chairs add a sculptural presence, echoing the room’s commitment to form and function. In the center, a black marble table with dramatic veining, resting on a dark oak plinth, becomes the gravitational force around which the room orbits.
A suspended fire feature, sleek and modern, stretches beneath the panoramic window, mirroring the warmth of the sun as it illuminates the distant rolling hills. The subtle glow of an orb table lamp, placed on the wooden platform extension of the chaise, enhances the evening ambiance, reinforcing the theme of fire as a guiding light.
Every detail in Taŋrıdaş is a whisper from nature, from the woven texture of the deep charcoal rug to the bronzed metallic side tables that reflect flickering flames. This is a space not merely to inhabit but to experience—a meditative retreat where ancient elements and contemporary sophistication exist in divine companionship.
